Practical task 5 Professional oral communication in foreign (English) language. Job interview

Work in pairs or alone. Imagine that one of you works for a company and has advertised the following vacancy. Prepare to interview the candidate for the job  and answer the questions. Send a file and dramatize the dialogue.

First of all, prepare a list of the most common interview questions. Here are some examples to consider:

  • Can you tell me a little about yourself?
  • What are your greatest strengths?
  • What are your biggest weaknesses?
  • What is your greatest professional achievement?
  • Why should we hire you?
  • What motivates you to do a good job?
  • How did you hear about the position?
  • Why do you want to work at our company?
  • What are you looking for in a new position?

Find a job vacancy that you find interesting and ask your teacher or friend to play the role of a potential employer. Find out more information about the company and analyze the job description to answer the questions based on gathered data.
