Speaking. Discuss with your classmates the following questions:

1.  What is wrong in terms of research conduct and ethics in this case?

2.  What types of research misconduct or questionable research practices have you spotted in this case?

3.  How do you think young researchers have dealt with these situations?

4.  What would you do on their place?

5.  How do you think professors would react if they would have been accused in research misconduct?

6.  Do you think similar situations could happen in Ukraine?

7.  Have you ever been involved in plagiarism or any other research misconduct or questionable research practices? Why do you think they are prohibited?

8.  What academic or research misconduct practices are most wide spread in Ukraine?

9.  What are some reasons for that? Comment on your opinion.

10.  Do you think Ukrainian students should study research ethics in class? Why or why not?

Завдання: Прочитати і перекласти, де потрібно, навчальний матеріал, включаючи переклад відеокейсу (див. прикріплений нижче файл). Обговорити кейс із неетичної поведінки науковців (кейс №2). Після перегляду відео дати відповіді на питання  (здати у формі документу MS Word – 1 стор.  А 4, 12pt, 1 інтерв.)
