1. Особливості магістерського дослідження.

Магістерська робота – це самостійне, завершене, цілісне дослідження, що розкриває на відповідному теоретичному і методологічному рівні обрану автором тему. У магістерській роботі студент має продемонструвати глибокі знання, володіння навичками наукового дослідження, здатність мислити, аналізувати й узагальнювати, робити висновки. Підготовка й захист магістерської роботи сприяє підвищенню рівня знань та вмінь студентів, глибокому вивченню найбільш важливих проблем філософії, культурології, політології, соціальних комунікацій, засвоєнню необхідних форм і методів наукової роботи, розвитку творчого мислення, вміння практичного аналізу теоретичних ідей і концепцій.

Цінність магістерської роботи визначається її науковим значенням, а також логічністю, обґрунтованістю, чітким, ясним викладом матеріалу. Велике значення має вміння автора працювати на широкому просторі філософського чи конкретно галузевого матеріалу, орієнтуватись у розмаїтті думок і виділяти головне, порівнювати й аналізувати різні погляди, висловлювати власні думки щодо обговорюваної теми. Магістерська робота може виступати продовженням і розвитком курсових і бакалаврських робіт.

2. Етапи написання магістерської роботи. Розробка плану-проспекту роботи – Master Thesis Proposal.

Підготовка і захист магістерської роботи проводиться у декілька етапів:

-    вибір та уточнення теми, підбір і вивчення літератури;

-    розробка плану-проспекту роботи (англ. Master Thesis Proposal);

-    підготовка тексту магістерської роботи та її оформлення;

-    підготовка роботи до захисту, в тому числі й попередній захист на засіданні кафедри;

-    захист магістерської роботи на засіданні державної екзаменаційної комісії.

На етапі підготовки до написання магістерської роботи готують план-проспект роботи, що в американських і європейських вишах називається Master Thesis Proposal. Цей документ має чітку структуру[1]. Розглянемо їх нижче.

Describe the breadth and depth of the topic and indicate the methodology to be used. It necessary use a title and a subtitle.   Summary of the research topic, describing the major problem or issue and where the gap lies for your research together with an indication of what your research will achieve.   State the limitations for the research, for example, time period, language, subject areas, regions and sample along, with unit of analysis, for example, policy, programmes, behaviours – to emphasize that no claims for generalizability beyond these limits will be made.   General statements on the intent or direction for the research – where you intend to go; include reference to the methodological, practical and theoretical aims.   Specific, clear and succinct statements of intended outcomes from your research, for example, search and review of the literature and assessment of a debate.   The rationale for doing the research on the topic: why the research needs to be done on this topic or problem. Make reference to the literature, gaps in knowledge, potential usefulness of a methodology and possible benefits of outcomes for understanding, practice and policy. Provide key references in support of your case.   Describe briefly the history of the topic identifying key landmark studies which indicate the methodologies used and arguments made; show the major issues or practical problems to identify the gap you intend to look at in your research, and then indicate what will be some likely research questions (for qualitative research) or hypothesis (for quantitative research). If necessary, show how key terms have been defined and used. Aim to show what contribution your research will make to the literature.   A concise justification for the methodological approach you intend to employ and what data-collection and analytical techniques you will use. No need to describe the methodology, but justify the following: use of qualitative or quantitative approaches; use of an existing approach within an existing paradigm; explanation of why alternative methodologies were rejected or not; the use of techniques for data/evidence-collection and anticipation of problems and issues, for example, ethics and access to data; indication of how the data will be analysed; and include agreements from corroborating organizations. Any variables to be operationalized should be defined. Provide references in support of your case.   A general indication of the timetable for completing the research; usually broken down into manageable segments, indicating the tasks necessary to complete each assuming that there are no problems. Often divided according to the sections in the dissertation. Include slippage time.   Identify any equipment that you will need for your research, for example, computing, access to special libraries or cost for field visits; if using postal questionnaires estimate printing and postage costs.   This is the bibliography of all works cited in your proposal; often includes works not cited that will be followed up in the main research.       Any materials that can support your justification or indicate your argument for collecting or using a particular kind or data, for example, computer game and video. Include in this section letters from corroborating institutions that give you access to necessary data or people.

 2.  Формулювання summary.

Для магістрів обов’язковими складниками роботи є реферат і анотація англійською мовою, яка, по суті, є перекладом реферату до роботи.

У рефераті подається стислий опис роботи. Необхідно вказати: тему, кількість сторінок основного тексту, кількість використаних джерел, мету, завдання, об’єкт, предмет, методи, теоретичну основу дослідження (це основні наукові праці, розглянуті в роботі), наукову новизну (для магістрів трирівнева), практичне та теоретичне значення дослідження, ключові слова (від 5 до 10).

В анотації англійською мовою (summary) спочатку подають короткий бібліографічний опис (прізвище автора; назва; місто, де відбувається захист; кількість сторінок), потім через відступ – короткий текст про актуальність (actuality), мету (goal), завдання (aims), методи (methods) і результати (results) дослідження, наприкінці – ключові слова.

SUMMARY

 Soloviova. N. M. Perception of Analytical and Investigative Journalism by Internet Audience of Regional Mass Media. Zaporizhzhia, 2019. 102 p.

 The qulification paper discusses the peculiarities of perception of analytical and investigative journalism by the internet audience of regional mass media.

Actuality of the qualification paper lies in necessity of researching issues related to the perception of analytical and investigative journalistic texts by online audience of regional mass media of Zaporizhzhia. Our hypothesis is that for media in order to keep readers’ attention on analytical and investigative reporting it is important to structure information in simple way using multimedia and visualization.  

The paper’s goal is to consider the peculiarities of perception of publications in analytical and investigative genres by the audience of Zaporizhzhia online media, and characterize the problems, which readers and journalists face while consuming and creating texts in these genres. The aims are to define a concept, themes and forms of presenting analytics and investigative materials; to consider journalists approaches to writing such texts; to study the peculiarities of perception of these materials by the audience of Zaporizhzhia online mass media; and find out the techniques and instruments to improve perceiving such materials.

Used methods of research are analysis and synthesis, comparative and typological, the method of online surveying and expert interview. 

The result of the research paper is analyzed experience of Ukraine’s regional online-media in publishing analytical and investigative articles as well as how the online audience perceives them. The research proved that usage of various multimedia and different forms of visualization help to attract readership to such publications. There were defined problematic aspects of the audience perception and creation these texts by the journalists that the media should take into account.

 Завдання для самостійної роботи:

Завдання 1: підготувати англомовну анотацію (Summary) до своєї магістерської роботи у обсязі 200 слів.

Завдання 2: написати Master Thesis Proposal до своєї магістерської дисертації. Обсяг: 2 сторінки А4. Times New Roman, 14 pt, 1,5 інтервал.

Критерії оцінювання: завдання виконані у повному обсязі, без стилістичних, орфографічних і граматичних помилок, використана професійна лексика, словниковий запас різноманітний і релевантний – 4-5 балів; завдання виконано частково, з лексичними, орфографічними і граматичними помилками –  2-3 бали; завдання виконано з великою кількістю помилок, словниковий запас нерізноманітний – 1 бал.
