What are the consequences of the proliferation of AI-generated content for language learning and literary studies?

The spread of AI-generated content is changing language learning and literary studies in many ways. Since AI can quickly create texts in different styles and languages, students and researchers now have more tools to practice and analyze language. AI-powered translation and writing assistants make it easier to learn new languages, but they can also reduce the need for deep understanding and critical thinking. Some learners may rely too much on AI-generated texts instead of improving their own writing and comprehension skills. In literary studies, AI helps analyze large amounts of text faster than ever before. Researchers can study patterns in literature, compare different writing styles, and discover hidden meanings in texts. However, there is also a risk that AI-generated content could replace human creativity. If people begin to accept AI-written stories as literature, it could change how we define art and originality. Another challenge is the risk of misinformation. AI can create realistic but false stories, making it harder to tell what is real and what is artificially generated. This affects both education and research, as scholars must carefully check sources and question the authenticity of texts. Despite these challenges, AI-generated content also brings many opportunities. It can make education more accessible, help people learn languages faster, and open new ways to analyze literature. The key is to use AI as a tool, not as a replacement for human creativity and critical thinking.

How does the increasing speed of technological innovation impact global labor markets?

These are new platforms and instruments for work, like zoom and similar (allows to find workers from different regions), automation, AI, etc.
Workers need to continuously adapt, leading to increased demand for digital literacy, coding, and problem-solving skills.
Rapid innovation risks widening the gap between skilled and unskilled workers. Workers without specialized skills face wage suppression due to automation and outsourcing.
