The course “Academic Writing for Research” is compulsory for students working towards their PhD degree. The course provides theoretical premises of Academic Writing for Research and ensures developing respective practical skills.
The course features such professionally oriented issues as finding one’s academic community, writing a research article, English abstract to the PhD dissertation, contribution to a conference proceeding as well as language-specific issues of mastering topic-specific lexis and grammar. The course provides for further development of productive, receptive, and interactional skills.
Method of instruction: through lectures and practical tasks; both presuppose students’ active participation (individually, in small groups, and in class discussions).
Course requirements: students are expected to attend classes on a regular basis, complete readings and be prepared for class discussion (with presentations, case studies, completed assignments, questions. etc.).- Викладач: Козлова Тетяна Олегівна
